Soup’s On

Manna Food Bank’s 5th Annual Fill A Bowl for Manna event will be this Saturday, Jan. 14 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Pensacola State College’s Art Department has thrown 900 ceramic bowls for the event. For $25 you can pick out your favorite and fill it up with soups from 17 different local restaurants.

There will also be a silent auction for larger bowls made by local potters.

Proceeds help Manna in its mission to leave no one unfed. In 2011, the organization provided food to 40,000 people in the area. Demand for Manna’s services continues to grow so head to 116 E. Gonzalez St. tomorrow and fill a bowl for the community.
