Speak out on County budget

Escambia County Commissioners will hold a series of budget meetings in each district during the month of May to allow residents a chance to review and voice opinions on budget cuts. Meeting dates, time and locations are as follows:

May 8, 6 p.m. – Catholic High School (Media Center), 3043 W. Scott St. (District 3)

May 12, 6 p.m. – Liberty Church (Fellowship Hall), 2221 S. Blue Angel Pkwy. (District 1)

May 13, 6 p.m. – Woodham Middle School, 150 E. Burgess Rd. (District 3)

May 19, 6 p.m. – Vickrey Community Center, 2030 Summit Blvd. (District 4)

May 20, 6 p.m. – Highland Baptist Church, 6240 N. Hwy. 95A, Molino (District 5)

May 21, 6 p.m. – Felix Miga Senior Citizen Center, 904 N. 57th Ave. (District 2)

May 27, 6:30 p.m. – Ferry Pass Middle School, 8355 Yancey Ave. (District 4 & 5)

May 29, 6 p.m. – Grand Lagoon Yacht Club, 10653 Gulf Beach Hwy. (District 2)

All meetings are open to the public regardless of district, so residents may attend whichever event is convenient to their schedule and location. Meetings are expected to last approximately two hours. Residents will be given opportunity to ask questions and leave their comments on County budget recommendations.
