At Spencer Bibbs, the third grade reading scores are up 69 percent since 2007, jumping the percentage of those scoring a three over above from 36 to 61. The third grade reading percentage of those scoring a three over above has more than doubled over the same period, from 41 to an amazing 84.

These teachers have done a great job turning around these scores. All of the students are on free or reduced lunch, 96 percent are minorities. The school grade was a D, but these jumps in the FCAT scores at level three and above is impressive.
