The Springdale, Ark. held a referendum for a 1-cent sales tax to pay for a minor league baseball park in July 2006 – about six weeks before Pensacola approved the Community Maritime Park. Springdale did not have a baseball team at the time.
They will have their first home game in their new stadium in less than two weeks. We still haven’t cut the grass at our site.
