Springfest in intensive care

Yesterday, Jeff DeWeese & I began making phone calls and visits about a new smaller scale Springfest. Received favorable comments. Still too early to completely announce that we can pull it off, but I believe we can.
Possible location: Jefferson St. – Seville Quarter has offered to provide power.

Just two stages. Run a readers’ poll on Inweekly.net and let people vote on the bands we can afford.

Hold it on the days originally reserved for Springfest – May 18-20.

Possible schedule: Country & Western on Friday night; Local bands on Daytime Saturday; Rock & Alternative Saturday Night; Sunday afternoon – oldies. This part is very tentative.

We’re also looking at if we can do it without charging for admission.
