Stafford says early voting strong

ibook

Escambia County Supervisor of Elections David Stafford reports that his office has received 606 more requests for absentee ballots, a total of 3,395. In the Dem & Rep primaries, the total absentee requests were 2,789. 78% of them were returned.

Stafford also reports that early voting is ahead of the early voting in the special primaries. Already 432 people have voted – in the primaries only 123 people voted the first day of early voting.

He believes the more people will vote in the Feb. 27 special election than in the primaries at the beginning of February.
