Sarasota Herald-Tribune is reporting that merit pay will likely be back before the legislature for discussion in 2011. The bill is similar to the one vetoed by Crist this spring. One change in the proposed legislation is how to compensate special education teachers–rather use test scores, special ed teachers will have their compensation tied to measures outlined in individual student education plans.
