The first episode of our new podcast, (we don’t) color on the dog, has done well. However, we’ve had several readers ask how to subscribe to the channel. Subscriptions help us pay bills.
Here is the step-by-step guide to subscribe:
1. Create a Google Account:
• You need a Google Account to subscribe to YouTube channels. If you don’t have one, sign up at the Google Account creation page.
2. Access YouTube:
• Go to https://www.youtube.com.
3. Sign In:
• Click on the “Sign In” button located at the top right corner of the YouTube homepage. Enter your Google account credentials (email and password) to log in.
4. Find a Channel:
• Go to https://www.youtube.com/@coloronthedog
5. Click Subscribe:
• Once you are on the channel’s page or watching a video, look for the red “Subscribe” button located below the video player or on the channel’s homepage. Click this button.
6. Enable Notifications (Optional):
• After subscribing, you can click on the bell icon next to the Subscribe button to choose your notification preferences. This allows you to receive alerts for new videos from that channel.
7. Manage Your Subscriptions:
• To view or manage your subscriptions, click on “Subscriptions” in the left menu on your YouTube homepage. Here, you can see all channels you are subscribed to and adjust notification settings if needed.
What Happens When You Subscribe?
• Subscribing adds the channel to your subscriptions feed, making it easier to access new content from that creator.
• By default, you’ll receive notifications about highlights from that channel, but you can customize this setting based on your preferences.
