Adrian Stills has been selected as the City of Pensacola’s Parks and Recreation Director, responsible for overseeing the city’s 94 parks, community resource centers, athletic facilities and numerous community activities facilitated by the Parks and Recreation Department.
Stills has served as the Interim Parks and Recreation Director since Monday, March 7, and he will officially begin his new role on Friday, June 17. Stills has worked for the City of Pensacola since March 2004 as the General Manager of Osceola Golf Course, where he was responsible for managing and operating the city-owned golf course.

I look forward to working with our incredible Parks and Recreation team to build on the momentum in Pensacola and continue to make our city an attractive place to live, work and play.”
Stills received his Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education with a minor in Education from South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
In addition to his experience managing Osceola Golf Course, Stills has an extensive background in golf and nonprofit management, serving in a variety of leadership roles throughout his career. Stills previously served as the first Executive Director and Founder of First Tee of the Gulf Coast, a nonprofit youth development organization. His experience includes working as a golf instructor in Orlando and a PGA tour member and player, also earning a Florida State Golf Association Advisory Board certification. Additionally, Stills co-founded the Advocates Professional Golf Tour in Los Angeles, directing golf events throughout the country and coordinating youth development activities for each event.
As the city’s Parks and Recreation Director, Stills will work under the direction of Deputy City Administrator David Forte to coordinate the work of the department, including preparing the budget, reviewing maintenance and capital improvement needs for all Parks and Recreation facilities, and planning for the future recreational needs of the community.
Stills will oversee 11 community resource centers, 94 parks, two pools, Osceola Golf Course and Roger Scott Tennis Center, along with multiple athletic complexes and recreational facilities in the City of Pensacola. In his role, Stills will also coordinate with the Parks and Recreation Board and meet with citizens and community leaders to ensure the city is continuing to implement quality recreation programs to meet the needs of the Pensacola community.
