I was awakened this morning by a phone call from a source. According to him, Victor Rome was shot twice last night after armed men invaded his home and robbed him of $200.
Rome, at one time, was a big-time drug dealer and was reportedly under house arrest. The attackers knew that he would be vulnerable since he couldn’t have a gun in his house.
We asked the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office for the report and got the following reply from Deputy Matt Baxter:
The report is an active investigation, therefore is not releasable, I will send a brief on what can be released later today.
