Style Downtown, the Pensacola salon owned by Cortney Campus, has been named to the SALON TODAY 200 by SALON TODAY magazine, the top business publication for salon and spa owners. The 200 salons were selected for their best business practices from applications submitted by SALON TODAY readers, who represent the 25,000 top-producing salons and spas in the country.

The magazine honored applicants in 11 different best practice categories, including Advanced Education, Compensation & Benefits, Customer Service, Environ-mental Sustainability, Philanthropy, Planned Profitability, Recruitment & Training, Retail & Merchandising, Retention & Referral Programs, Technology and Growth. Style Downtown was honored in Growth.

“Our editors recognize that strong business leadership requires the mastery of a number of different best business practices,” said Stacey Soble, editor-in-chief of SALON TODAY. “The salons named to the SALON TODAY 200 for 2014 not only proved they excel in one or more of these areas, they also have created reward-ing environments for their staff members and standout experiences for their clients. Their willingness to share their success offers our readers important busi-ness benchmarks and inspirational sales-building ideas.”

In press release, Salon owner Cortney Campus said, “For me, being named a Salon Today Top 200 Salon really validates that we are a great and growing city and we can definitely offer many of the amenities of a large city. Pensacola is filled with hidden gems and it demonstrates that people don’t have to go to Atlanta or anywhere else to get superior products and services. I’m so proud of my team, it has taken a lot of hard work and dedication by all.”
