The Historic New Orleans Collection, the new home of the Sugar Bowl archives, is gearing up for an exhibition of Sugar Bowl memorabilia. Classic! A Celebration of Sugar Bowl Memories will capture more than seven decades of the Sugar Bowl experience, from the inaugural 1935 game at Tulane Stadium to the much-anticipated 2007–08 Bowl Championship Series. Through photographs, programs, scrapbook pages and interviews with coaches and players, the exhibition will explore classic moments in Sugar Bowl history. Patrons will also have the rare opportunity to view the original Sugar Bowl trophy and a film made exclusively for this exhibition.

RO Note: I offered to loan the museum my photos of the piano bar in Pat O’Brien’s after 1978 Sugar Bowl – Alabama vs. Ohio State. No word yet.
