Tar balls still being found on Pensacola Beach

FDEP personnel Dominic Marcanio and Joey Whibbs conducted on Jan. 31 post-response monitoring surveys in Escambia County, Florida, with a focus in the Fort Pickens area.

A total of 328 tar balls were collected during their survey, amounting to nearly two pounds removed from these sections of beach. According, to the Tom Young, blogger for The Legal Examiner, this is an extraordinary amount for such a small area – less than 1,000 yards.
