Teachers and schools invited to apply for Cox Charities Education Grant

Local teachers and schools are encouraged to submit applications for funding through Cox Charities Innovation in Education grants by Friday, April 21. Cox employees contribute all year to the Cox Charities program out of their own paychecks, and, this year, they will provide grants of up to $2,500 to support student learning programs focused on education, technology, and social well-being.

“Our company was founded by a schoolteacher 125 years ago, and he had a passion to help teachers and students succeed in the classroom,” said David Deliman, market vice president of Cox Gulf Coast. “Today, the Cox family continues to support local educators as do our employees. Giving money from their own paychecks is one way our local team can help bring fun and creative learning to the Gulf Coast.”

Educators in public and private schools located within Cox’s Gulf Coast footprint can apply at www.CoxCharitiesSER.org now through April 21, 2023. Cox will announce the recipients and distribute funds in May.

Cox Charities also provides Community Investment grants to 501(c)(3) nonprofits and will open its next grant cycle in August. Through the “Give Where You Live” grant program, funds raised locally stay local to support nonprofits and educators in the areas where Cox employees live.
