Participated in my first statewide telephone. Questions asked involved rating:

• Gov. Jeb Bush’s 8 years
• Bill Nelson and Mel Martinez
• The Florida Legislature
• President Bush
• What I expect of Gov-elect Charlie Crist

Plus:

What I considered the major state issue? My reply was homeowners insurance.

Did I support state underwriting property insurance? Yes
Did I support Citizens writing more less risky policies? Yes

Then it got weird

Do I shop at WalMart?

Do I think WalMart treats its employees fairly?

Would I not shop at WalMart because of its company policies? Or is price the only factor?

Would I support a politician if they were against WalMart’s company policies?

Have I been to a Starbucks lately?

Do I vote?
