Over the past few days I’ve heard dozens of fake id stories: how people got them, how stupid the names were and how they got caught with them. One girl’s brother had such an elaborate set-up for him and his buddies that they had an fake Alabama seal on the wall behind them.
In 1974, I was Bill Abide (an older brother of a classmate) – 22 years old; 6’3″; 240 lbs; with perfect eyesight. Actually I was age 16, 6 ft., 130 lbs with glasses. But the id worked in Lafayette, La. when we sneaked out of the hotel during a Key Club convention.
