My readers are the best sources for what is happening:
I’m in the sound on the boat right now directly across from the ranger station. There is globs (a lot) of thick oil floating around. I’m talking a lot of oil. There is one cleanup crew out there and they’re sitting in their boat doing absolutely nothing!!!

We just returned from the bay towards Ft. Pickens. We headed towards the pass and found thick oil in a continuous line like a tide line. The clean up efforts were absent and jet skis and boaters were blasting through it and around it. I’d say it’s less than a mile from our dock to the pass. We’re at the last dock on the island, closest to Pickens and the pass. I think it would be prudent to place a moratorium personal watercraft and boat traffic not involved in the clean up effort.
