The 15th Annual Double Bridge is Approaching Maximum Participants

 Final Registration is on Thur. (4p-8p) and Friday (noon-8p) at the Hilton on Pensacola Beach

 The 15th annual Pensacola Double Bridge Run, presented by Publix, a Pensacola Sports Association Event, has almost reached the max capacity for participants. This year’s race has a record crowd, with more than 3,500 athletes expected to participate on Saturday, February 4. The race maximums are as follows: 2,500-15K, 1,200-5K run, and 300- 5K walk.

 Currently, the 15K and 5K run races have about 400 participant spots available each and the 5K walk has about 50 participant spots available. In past race expos nearly 800 people have registered over the two-day period. If the race fills up, it will be the first time in event history the race has sold out.

 Last chance to register for the Double Bridge Run will be at the Race Expo on Thursday, February 2 between 4:00 and 8:00 p.m. or Friday, February 3 between noon and 8:00 p.m. at the Hilton Gulf Front Conference Center on Pensacola Beach. Race Packets will be available for pickup at the Expo that includes a Friday night dinner, post-race party with a meal, and a free Saturday night concert. There is NO day of the race registration.

 On Saturday, February 4, the 15K Double Bridge Run starts at 7:00 a.m. in down town Pensacola. The 15K spans over two bridges, across Pensacola Bay and Santa Rosa Sound. This scenic tour includes downtown Pensacola, the historic district, Bayfront Parkway and a run through Gulf Breeze onto Pensacola Beach. Convenient shuttles and bag checks for the 15K will run continuously from beach parking to the start between 5:00-6:00 a.m. before the race. The 5K Run/Walk starts at 8:30 a.m. and carries runners and walkers to the sights from Gulf Breeze to beautiful Pensacola Beach on Santa Rosa Island and the Gulf Islands Seashore. The 5K shuttles will be running from 6:00-7:30 a.m. from Pensacola Beach to the 5K start in Gulf Breeze.
