The Escambia County Jail is overcrowded. The Bail Project saves tax dollars and helps those awaiting a court appearance.
With over 350 bail outs and a 94% court appearance rate at over 700 court dates, this isn’t only fiscally good but it also shows people are interested in doing the right thing. We covered the program in its early stages in 2022.
