Thomas changing mind on Lincoln Park

According to today’s daily newspaper, School Superintendent Malcolm Thomas have had a a change of heart on his proposed closing of Lincoln Park Elementary. Faculty, school administration, parents and neighborhood leaders had been told that Thomas had targeted the school for closure by the end of the current school year.

Now, Thomas appears to be supportive of the school. For the first time, he admitted that closing the Lincoln Park would overcrowd other schools.

Watch this one closely, folks. It could be Thomas is trying to repair his relationships with African-American community. Next up, addressing Mayor Ashton Hayward’s proposal for dealing with closed schools.
