The big votes on Reimagine Palafox happen this week. On Monday, Nov. 10, the Community Redevelopment Agency will vote on whether CRA funds can be used for the project. The Pensacola City Council will vote on the construction contract on Thursday, Nov. 13.

The State Board of Governors appointed two new members to the University of West Florida Board of Trustees. The appointees names were not listed on the board’s agenda, and the Board of Governors issued no press release after the meeting.
Breaking: Gilley appointed to UWF Board of Trustees
Gannett, owner of the Pensacola News Journal and most of FLorida’s daily newspapers, will rebrand as USA TODAY, but that is what attracted readers. According to its Oct. 1 circulation report, the PNJ only averaged 2,183 paid print subscriptions for the past year. In 2012, the Gannett-owned newspaper’s paid distribution was 38,653.
