Touart told county has problems

testCounty Administrator George Touart met with the Pensacola Chamber of Commerce this week. The word we’ve gotten is that Touart was told that his employees were holding up development in the county. Something this paper and others have said for years, but George has refused to do anything about.

From the accounts relayed to me, Touart didn’t take the info too well. He got upset that none of the Chamber board members had called him personally to complain — Touart was told that many contractors fear retribution from the staff. He kept pushing for names.

Quint Studer offered to have the county senior leaders attend his upcoming seminars on Pensacola Beach for free. Others asked had Touart done any surveys of county customers?

….This could be the begining of some changes in county government. Bravo to the Chamber!
