Santa Rosa Press Gazette is reporting that Santa Rosa County could lose its popular Tough Mudder event if alcohol sales aren’t allowed for its Sunday events.
The organizers want to make it a two-day event, but the alcohol ban on Sundays in the north end of the county hinders the expansion. More than 5,000 people are estimated to have participated in the Saturday race. Santa Rosa County Economic Development Director Shannon Ogletree has commissioned an impact study to help make the case for lifting the ban for the event.
