Get your body and your brain cells active during the Tour de Fort, a bicycling tour of the archaeological sites along the Florida National Scenic Trail near the Fort Pickens area.
The tour is part of the national “Let’s Move Outside!†campaign.
Participants will gather at the auditorium at Fort Pickens at 10 a.m. March 22 where a park ranger and FPAN archaeologists will meet the group for a tour and bike ride of the Florida Scenic Trail.
The bike ride is about four miles and lasts less than two hours. The tour will visit sites along the trail where you can learn about the archaeology, history and ecology of the area.
Be sure to bring water, healthy snacks, sunscreen, sunglasses, a bicycle and your helmet.
