The Bed Tax reports are in for March and YTD collections are down $65,044 compared to last year – 3.73 percent
Areas hit hardest YTD are:
Zip code 32504 – south of I-10 around University Mall and the Airport: down $49,550 – 13.7%
32505 – West Pensacola, north of Gulf Beach Hwy: down $26,859 – 17%
32501+32502 – Downtown Pensacola: down $18,991 – 10.5 %
Pensacola Beach is down only 3% – $12,511.
The two superstars are Perdido Key (zip code 32507) up $26,393 – 15%; North Pensacola/Nine Mile (zip code 32514) up $22,330 – 16%.
On a good note, we are hearing that summer reservations for Pensacola Beach hotels are above last year.
