Trump endorses Gaetz

From Matt Gaetz Campaign:

Pensacola, FL – President Donald J. Trump today endorsed Congressman Matt Gaetz (FL-01) in his re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives. President Trump has fought to “Make America Great Again” by lowering taxes, bringing more jobs to U.S. soil, and accomplishing more in two years than any President in U.S. history.

President Trump campaigned with then-candidate Matt Gaetz in 2016 in Pensacola, Florida. In 2017, Rep. Gaetz flew on Air Force One with President Trump to Pensacola for a campaign rally. In April 2018, President Trump called Rep. Gaetz an “absolute warrior” on national television.

“Congressman Matt Gaetz of Florida is one of the finest and most talented people in Congress. Strong on Crime, the Border, Illegal Immigration, the 2nd Amendment, our great Military & Vets, Matt worked tirelessly on helping to get our Massive Tax Cuts. He has my Full Endorsement!,” President Trump said.

In response to President Donald Trump’s endorsement, Rep. Gaetz issued the following statement:

“I am deeply honored to receive President Trump’s endorsement today, and am thrilled to have the opportunity to continue working alongside him. Since November 2016, the President has been working to make America great again, and I have gladly joined him in his efforts to drain the swamp, lower taxes, and expose the deep-seated corruption hidden in the centralized bureaucracy of Washington. President Trump’s support today has given me a renewed sense of confidence and vigor to continue my fight for the hard-working men and women of Northwest Florida,” Rep. Gaetz said.
