The board voted down a recommendation to reimburse The Children’s Theater for overspending its budget and denied Urban Development Center’s request to lower its YouthFirst Century program to age 5. They accepted the staff recommendations to not renew grants for those two providers.

The board was told all 16 renewed programs were in compliance with their contracts.

The staff is working on new standardized metrics that will be used in Year Two to measure the outcome of the grants.  This year, the contracts let the providers determine their metrics.

Contracts will be amended to include the standardized metric after the board approves them.
