Truth For Youth will be sponsoring, along with participation from Pensacola State College Student Nurse Association, the first annual Community Health Fair on Saturday, November 17 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. The health fair will offer free screenings and early detection for health issues as well as education and awareness of community resources that are available. Vendors including Pensacola State College, West Florida Mammography Unit, Walgreens, The Escambia County Health Department and many others will be providing screenings, educational information, and flu shots. The day will also include local entertainment, food, fun and much more.
For over seventeen years. Reverend John Powell has dedicated himself to helping those in need with lock-ins, tutoring, clothing, shelter, school supplies, and anything else when the need arises. There are so many people of all ages that are diagnosed with some type of health issue. These people could possibly have been treated earlier, if they had been screened and made aware of their problem. This event is a great way to assist our community in ensuring that we are all aware of what Pensacola has to offer in health care.
The event will be held at the Truth For Youth Belmont Building, 432 W. Belmont (the corner of Belmont and Devillers Street).
If you need additional information or would be interested in assisting, please call Lynne Clement SN at 776-7976.
