UF football coach coming to Pensacola

The Northwest Florida Gator Club and the University of Florida Gator Nation welcomes Head Football Coach Billy Napier on his 2022 spring speaking tour-stop in Pensacola on Thursday May 12, at Sander Beach / Corinne Jones Center. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with a cocktail hour. Program begins at 6pm.

Coach Napier will be addressing the attendees and meeting UF alumni and fans. This event is hosted by Gator Boosters and in partnership with the Northwest Florida Gator Club, an affiliate organization of the UF Alumni Association that exists to support the mission of teaching, research, and service, for both the Alumni Association and the University of Florida.

The Northwest Florida Gator Club raises money annually to award multiple financially supportive scholarships to incoming freshmen at UF who attended high school in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. Last year the NWFL Gator Club awarded multiple students with scholarship benefits that aided incoming freshmen and women. The NWFL Gator Club hosts weekly Gator football game watch parties at Seville Quarter with no admission fee and a game day food menu including drink specials.

Coach Napier enters his first season with the Florida Gators after being named head football coach on Nov. 28. Coach Napier has assembled a highly qualified team of coach’s and support staff. Spring practice started on campus on March 17, and the Orange & Blue Spring game is April 16.

UFAA members and Gator fans of all ages are welcome and encouraged to attend. Admission for all ages is $10, and dress code includes a heavy suggestion of including Orange and Blue.

Attendance will be limited to the first 350 tickets sold. For more information and a link to purchase tickets are available at the Northwest Florida Gator Club Facebook page, or at floridagators.com (search “Spring Speaking Tour”).
