United Way Accepting Applications For Loaned Executive Program

United Way
United Way of Escambia County is accepting applications for the 2014-2015 Loaned Executive (LE) Program. This unique, year-long volunteer opportunity brings together local professionals to coordinate United Way’s annual workplace campaign, which raised over $2.2 million for community impact last fiscal year.

Loaned Executives will develop their professional and leadership skills by supporting the United Way workplace campaign, participating in the community investment committee as part of the funds distribution process and attending monthly leadership seminars. The program also offers an exceptional networking experience that helps ensure organizations “loaning” their employees are involved in the philanthropic activity of Escambia County’s nonprofit community.

Jamie Bradley, a Gulf Power Company employee and 2013 LE, summarized her experience saying, “The Loaned Executive program had such a significant impact on both my personal and professional life. While helping make a difference in our community and serving those in need, I have learned a great deal about myself. I’ve made some amazing new friends, gained a greater appreciation for United Way, their mission, and this wonderful community I call home.”

United Way is encouraging employers to consider nominating someone from their team for the program. Applications, which can be downloaded at unitedwayescambia.org, are due Feb. 21. For more information, please call Laura Hill at 850.444.7143 or e-mail laura@unitedwayescambia.org.
