United Way gives away $850K on June 19

United Way of Escambia County (UWEC) will hold a press conference to announce the nonprofit agencies that will receive grant funding through the Community Investment process at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 19 at WSRE’s Amos Performance Studio, 1000 College Blvd, Building 23.

United Way will give out grants totaling $850,000 to 41 programs that fight for the health, education, and financial stability of citizens in Escambia County. Additionally, the top five Workplace Campaigns will be highlighted and UWEC will announce the winner of a new KIA Soul.
