United Way of West Florida agency certification opens Oct. 4

Pensacola, FL – Local nonprofits are invited to apply for Agency Certification from United Way of West Florida beginning Oct. 4. The application is open to nonprofit organizations in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.

Becoming a Certified Partner Agency is required for any organization planning to apply for funding from United Way of West Florida in January 2023. Agencies must reapply for certification every year. Certification does not guarantee funding.

Agencies not seeking funding from United Way can also benefit from Certification. It confirms that an organization has been thoroughly vetted and meets United Way of West Florida’s standards for transparency, financial health, and governance.

Trainings are available for organizations applying for the first time or ones that need a refresher. These sessions are optional and will be available in-person and remote.

Training Session Dates
• October 5, 2022 | 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• October 11, 2022 | 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Agencies can register for training sessions and find more information online at uwwf.org/agency-certification. UWWF’s Agency Certification period runs from Oct. 4-21.
