College of Business Executive Mentor Program presents: Monetary Policy and Employment Markets

Details: Coming out of the 2009 recession, accommodative monetary policy has helped the economy’s performance and labor market growth, but there is continual room for growth, in addition to various questions about the true health of labor markets. Dr. Tom Cunningham, vice president, senior economist and regional executive for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, will discuss this and more during his lecture on “Monetary Policy and Employment Markets†as part of the UWF College of Business Leadership Speaker Series.

Details: The 2014 Student Affairs Symposium is a professional development opportunity that is open and free to all UWF faculty and staff. This year, the theme of the symposium is “Improving Learning, Collaboration and Effectiveness Through Technology.” Keynote speaker Eric Stoller will discuss student engagement and digital identity, and breakout sessions will feature instructional sessions on a variety of technological resources on campus.
UWF Downtown Lecture Series presents Amy Mitchell-Cook

Details: Dr. Amy Mitchell-Cook, chair and associate professor of history at UWF, will present her lecture, titled “Women of the Sea: Female Pirates, Sailors and Wives Who Set Sail†as part of UWF Downtown: A Lecture Series Honoring the Arts and Humanities. Refreshments will be served at 5:30 p.m., followed by Cook’s presentation. The event is free and open to the public.
