The CMPA will hold a special executive meeting next Friday, August 8 at 9 a.m. to discuss a proposed park rental agreement with the University of West Florida for its home football games.
The two-year agreement gives the university the use of the entire park –stadium, amphitheatre and festival grounds — for its home football games for $5000 per game. For Saturday games, UWF will have the park from 8 a.m. to midnight. For Thursday games, the control begins at noon and runs to midnight.
UWF will add a $1 surcharge to all tickets that will go to CMPA. UWF will get all parking revenue.
CMPA will provide, at its expense, goal posts, field goal catch nets and end-zone play clocks. CMPA will pay all utilities.
