UWF hires USM official for first Chief Diversity Officer

This notice was sent to the University of West Florida staff:

I’m pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Kim LeDuff as the university’s new Chief Diversity Officer. As Associate Vice Provost for Equity, Diversity and International Affairs, Dr. LeDuff will have overarching responsibility for promoting and fostering a climate of diversity and inclusive excellence throughout all aspects of the University community.

Dr. LeDuff is currently serving as Interim Director of the School of Mass Communication and Journalism at The University of Southern Mississippi where she chaired the committee responsible for creating the diversity plan for that institution. She will join us mid-September.

My thanks go to Kevin Bailey, Vice President for Student Affairs, and his search committee for selecting talented finalists from a group of 104 applicants.

Martha Saunders
Provost
