Title: Upcoming Century Business Challenge Orientation
Date: March 3
Time: 6 p.m.

Details: Orientation for those interested in competing in the Century Business Challenge will be held. The Century Business Challenge is a business plan competition in which the winning company will receive a prize package valued at more than $25,000. Title: The Shifting Ground Film Series, Part II
Date: March 3
Time: 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Location: UWF Pensacola Campus, University Commons
Details: In the last part of our series we are showing the movie “A Time for Justice: America’s Civil Rights Movement.” This four-time Academy Award winning documentary captures the spirit of the civil rights movement through historical footage and the voices of some of those who participated in the struggle.

Title: “The Archaeology of Qumran and the Dead Sea Scrolls” Lecture with Dr. Jodi Magness
Date: March 5
Time: 6 to 7 p.m.
Location: UWF Pensacola Campus, Center for Fine and Performing Arts
Details: Dr. Jodi Magness of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will deliver a presentation entitled, “The Archaeology of Qumran and the Dead Sea Scrolls.” Dr. Magness specializes in the archaeology of ancient Palestine (modern Israel, Jordan and the Palestinian territories) in the Roman, Byzantine and early Islamic periods. Her research interests include Jerusalem, Qumran and the Dead Sea Scrolls, ancient synagogues, Masada, the Roman army in the East and ancient pottery. Sponsors of Dr. Magness’ visit include the Pensacola Jewish Federation, the History and English Departments and the Division of Anthropology and Archaeology.
