Press release: University of West Florida volleyball ranks No. 20 in American Volleyball Coaches Association DII Top 25 Coaches Poll
The University of West Florida volleyball team jumped five spots in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll to No. 20 after a strong showing at the 2015 Colorado Premier Challenge over the weekend. West Florida went 3-1 at the Colorado Premier, with wins over Missouri S&T, Regis and Metro State, with its only loss coming to the tournament champion, and now No. 4-ranked Ferris State.
UWF is the only team currently ranked in the AVCA DII Top 25 Coaches Poll from the Gulf South Conference, and one of four teams representing the south region in the latest poll.
West Florida will open up GSC play at home this weekend against West Alabama on Friday, September 18 at 7 p.m. CT and against West Georgia on Saturday, September 19 at 1 p.m. CT. UWF will also face regional opponent Spring Hill on Saturday at 6 p.m. CT.
