Press Release:Â The University of West Florida volleyball team ranks No. 25 in the first American Volleyball Coaches Association Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll of the season after going 3-1 over the weekend at the 2015 Hampton Inn-vitational. West Florida earned 3-0 wins over No. 21 Arkansas Ft. Smith, Missouri-St. Louis and Bridgeport, and pushed No. 3 Southwest Minnesota State to five sets at the opening weekend tournament.
The Argonauts were ranked in the AVCA DII Top 25 Coaches Poll for the first seven weeks of the season last year and have been consistently among the top 25 teams in the nation under head coach Melissa Wolter.
West Florida will next compete in the Colorado Premier Challenge on September 11-12. UWF will open the tournament on Friday, Sept. 11 against Missouri S&T at 2:30 p.m. MT before facing No. 18 Ferris State later that day at 6:30 p.m. MT.
