University of West Florida Argonauts and supporters worldwide are invited to participate in UWF’s seventh annual Day of Giving on Thursday, April 17. Alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and friends of the University have the chance to make a positive impact and contribute to UWF’s success during this 24-hour online fundraising initiative.
WHY THIS MATTERS: This year the University has a campaign fundraising goal of $175,000 and an individual gift goal of 1,200, tying back to the University’s broader Here for Good campaign, which aims to surpass its goal of $90 million.
Participants will be directed to make gifts on dayofgiving.uwf.edu to funds which include Argo Athletics; College of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities; Hal Marcus College of Science and Engineering; Lewis Bear Jr. College of Business; School of Education; Usha Kundu, MD College of Health; UWF Emerald Coast; UWF Historic Trust; WUWF; Scholarships; Student Resources and Centers of Learning.
Supporters can donate $20 to earn a UWF Day of Giving bandana, $30 for a pair of exclusive UWF socks, $50 for a special UWF hat, or $100 for all three items that have a limited-edition print only available for Day of Giving 2025.
- The UWF Alumni and Development teams will host a Day of Giving happy hour for alumni and friends at O’Riley’s Irish Pub Downtown, 321 South Palafox Street in downtown Pensacola, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m on Day of Giving. Guests 21 years and older will receive one free drink ticket, and there will be appetizers and swag while supplies last. Attendees can register in advance on the Day of Giving Happy Hour webpage.
Argos and friends are encouraged to invite others to give and spread awareness of the initiative online using #UWFDayofGiving.
This event is part of UWF Founders Week, a weeklong celebration of the University’s founding. Learn more at uwf.edu/foundersweek. For more information about Day of Giving, visit dayofgiving.uwf.edu.
