VETERANS FOR PEACE MARCH IN SUPPORT OF MOVEMENT FOR CHANGE’S TRUTH TO POWER RALLY

On Saturday, April 7, 2007, Veterans for Peace, Northwest Florida, will march shoulder to shoulder with Pensacola’s Movement for Change’s demonstration challenging injustice. VFP’s lead poster will be “Sow Justice, Reap Peace.”

The date commemorates Dr. King’s martyrdom on April 4, 1968 and his sermon of April 7, 1967 in which he became America’s most eloquent and determined prophet of the consequences of America’s addiction to war.

During the afternoon, MFC will have speakers on rights, responsibilities and awareness in seven areas of American life.

The March will begin at 11:00am at Martin Luther King, Jr Plaza at Palafox and Gardner St and move to Holice Williams Park at Blount and Haynes for the afternoon Rally.
