Vietnam & Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club announces 19th annual Memorial Day Ride

This is an escorted ride of remembrance for our fallen members of the Armed Forces who have secured our Freedoms with the ultimate sacrifice

The Vietnam & Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club will be hosting their 19th annual Police Escorted Memorial Day ride event on the 25th of May 2014. The ride begins at the American Legion Post 340 at 8890 Ashland Ave, Pensacola, Fl. 32514 and ends at the Pensacola Veterans Memorial Park on Bayfront parkway. Registration begins at 9 a.m. with the escorted ride to depart at 1pm. A brief ceremony will be held at the Veterans Memorial Park starting at 2pm and will be hosted by the Pensacola Veterans Park Foundation. Funds raised will go to benefit local Veterans support groups and cover the expenses associated with the ride.

There is a $10 per person ride fee. There will be numerous vendors and events at the American Legion Post 340 staging area starting on Friday night.
• Camping available at the American Legion Post 340 on a first come first serve basis
• Drink Specials starting Friday night and running through Sunday evening
• Breakfast & Lunch available for purchase
• FREE Pasta Dinner starting at 6 pm on Saturday night
• Live Band on Saturday Night
• Vendors, T-Shirts, prizes, and drawings.

The Vietnam & Legacy Vets Motorcycle club is a patriotic group of riders who place a high priority on supporting Veterans and Veterans concerns in our community. The group has been active in the community since 1991 and is responsible for the creation of this annual event. Members consist primarily of former and current service members who share a love for this country and a passion for motorcycling. Members of the Vietnam & Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club share a common goal of ensuring a full accounting of those Missing in Action and those taken as Prisoners of War.
