Violence continues

An investigation continues into a late-night incident that injured two men while they were sitting on a porch in Pensacola.

The incident occurred around 11:50 p.m. in the 500 block of East Fisher Street, said Officer Michael Fraser. A motive for the incident remains under investigation.

Fraser said a 25-year-old male told police he and the 29-year-old male were sitting on the porch when approximately three to four males approached them from a side of the residence. He said he then heard a gun shot.

Both males were struck on the head by a blunt object. The 29-year-old male may have been grazed by a bullet on the chin.

A 38-year-old woman told police she was also on the porch with the male victims when she saw the suspects approach. She said she heard a single gun shot and tried to run but when she did, she fell of the porch. The woman said when she tried to get up, one of the suspects pointed a gun at her and threatened to kill her if she moved.

The suspects then fled the scene, and the two male victims went to a local hospital for treatment. The 29-year-old male has been released from the hospital.

Anyone having information on the incident is asked to contact the Pensacola Police Department at 435-1900.
