I got this message from Visit Pensacola: I left you a voicemail earlier this morning but also wanted to follow up with you via email to reassure you that our priority at this time is to continue to provide visitors with the most up-to-date, and most importantly, accurate and transparent, information we have. After seeing your post, I immediately contacted the County’s PIO office, as our information is pulled directly from their releases. As such, I learned that the release below was issued prior to NOAA’s early morning update. I have cleared this up with the County, and they will be issuing an update soon to clarify that while there’s a Tropical Storm Warning along the Coast, the Pensacola Bay Area is no longer under a Tornado Watch. We have also updated the messaging on our blog and will continue to do so throughout the day (http://curiousaboutourcoast.com).
