BACKGROUND

VT Mobile Aerospace Engineering (VT MAE), a subsidiary of Singapore-based ST Engineering Aerospace, operates a major aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility at Pensacola International Airport.

Opening in 2018, VT MAE’s Pensacola operation created over 400 new jobs for skilled aircraft technicians, inspectors, and avionics specialists. Local educational institutions and economic agencies have partnered with VT MAE to offer training for a sustainable workforce, supporting the expansion of the local aerospace cluster and bringing high-quality, well-paid employment opportunities to the region.

Project Stallion, the first MRO hanger, was constructed at Pensacola International Airport and operated by ST Engineering. Project Titan consists of two to three additional hangars (Hangers 2, 3, and possibly 4), support services centers, administrative offices and taxiways, aprons, and roadways. The total cost for the project is $210,120,000.

The second hangar at Pensacola International Airport officially opened on February 27, 2023, and a third hangar is expected to open in late 2026.
