For the third year in a row, the Pensacola Blue Wahoos will host two job fairs for people interested in applying for game-day/ part-time customer-service jobs for the 2014 season.

On Monday, November 18, the Wahoos will be at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 2601 West Strong Street.

A second job fair will take place on Tuesday, November 19 at the Pensacola Bayfront Stadium. Both job fairs will run from 4pm to 7pm.

Anyone interested in applying for one of the part-time jobs available next season will complete an applicaton form upon arrival or they could download an application at http://atmilb.com/HpLRXQ.

Jonathan Griffith, Vice-President of the team, said that the job fairs have been a great way for the Blue Wahoos to interact with potential employees and get to know the community better.

“Each year we’ve held these job fairs we’ve been thrilled at the turnout, and more importantly, excited about the quality of people we have been able to bring into the organization,” said Griffith. “Our fans know first-hand that we place a big emphasis on customer service, and it’s thanks to our fantastic staff that we continue to keep our fans happy and the stadium full. We encourage anyone interested to come out and meet with us about being a part of the Blue Wahoos staff next year,” Griffith said.

Jobs available for next season include mostly food service and cleaning, and a few positions in security, as ushers, or in our box office according to Dick Baker, Director of Human Resources for the Blue Wahoos.

Baker said that the job fairs would offer a chance for potential employees to introduce themselves to Blue Wahoos staff and talk about available positions.

“We hope anyone interested will come to the job fair ready to tell us how they can help us deliver exceptional service to our fans,” said Baker. “Applicants should come dressed for a formal interview, be prepared to tell us what customer service looks like to you, and tell us how your skills can help us continue the high standards set over the past two seasons,” said Baker.

Anyone interested in applying for these jobs should attend one of the two job fairs, and for additional information they can contact Dick Baker at the Blue Wahoos front office, (850) 934-8444 or dbaker@bluewahoos.com.
