Wahoos hire ticket sales director from Orlando Magic

Press Release: The Pensacola Blue Wahoos have announced that Evangeline “Van” Leventhal has been hired as the team’s Director of Ticket Sales. She began her new position on Monday, August 1. Leventhal’s main responsibilities with the Blue Wahoos include developing the Maritime Park baseball stadium seating schematic, planning the season ticket holder seat selection party and other events, sales activities and ticket operations.

Leventhal, who has spent the past 10 years with the NBA’s Orlando Magic, received her undergraduate (International Studies, BA) and graduate (Business Administration, MBA) degrees from the University of West Florida.

“Van brings an extensive amount of knowledge and experience to the Blue Wahoos and we are pleased to have her back in our community,” said Bruce Baldwin, Pensacola Blue Wahoos President. “We look forward to her expertise within our team and community.”

Leventhal held several positions within the Orlando Magic ticket department including Assistant Director and Director of Ticket Sales, Partnership Development Manager and Season Ticket Account Executive.

During her tenure in Orlando, Leventhal was an instrumental member of the staff that opened the Amway Center in October 2010. While managing new accounts and growing relationships with existing partners, that season Leventhal also achieved the highest percentage of individual increase in sales in her department, and was one of only four executives to achieve over $1 million in new business. Her efforts led the Magic to its status as one of the top five teams in the NBA in new season ticket revenue.

Prior to her time in Orlando, Leventhal made stops with the Columbus Wardogs (af2), Birmingham Bulls (ECHL), Birmingham Steeldogs (af2) and Madison Monsters (United Hockey League).

Leventhal focuses on charitable organizations and the community she lives in. She is actively involved with the Habitat for Humanity, Kaboom!, Coalition for the Homeless, Beta Center and Children’s Home Society.

Van and her husband Kevin, a native of Pensacola, have one daughter, Avery. Born in Montreal, Canada, Van enjoys scuba diving, paddle boarding, kayaking and spending time with her family.
