I do find it amusing how William can, for some posters, completely ignore his own site’s rules and then not publish other posts that follow the rules, but perhaps have a different point of view.
Ah well, it’s his site and he can do as he pleases, but I long ago realized it wasn’t straight reporting.
This is probably old news. Escambia did release the town hall video, and to be more clear about one of the statements about Century Chamber $, It languished for two years in the Escambia budget and the entire board did vote to put it to NE to be used for area businesses for free advertisements after the chamber failed to submit projects to get the money. I see William can be coerced to public a comment, as the facebook propagandaist called him out on keeping a comment in purgatory. I just thought your comments on the podcast made it sound like Walnut Hill was in a remote galaxy. Hopefully NorthEscambia will realize what a service he provides and also tone down the Century rhetoric by only allowing negative comments on the blog and screening others and only posting negative news for his apparent agenda.
I’m honestly OK that the D5 office didn’t publish this video. Although, I think they should put the concurrency and impact fees back into the LDC and really don’t agree with Barry leading the charge to remove the Agricultural protections. However the board voted to undo it and the board can vote put them back in.
I think their retirement issue has been blown out of proportion. It does cost the county the same for either plan. There is a class of employees and elected official and rates set at the state. For the average citizen, that is hard to grasp and has been weaponized by Underhill and his followers. Underhill does say he was going to make it ugly for the board in the Bear transcripts. At least it seems someone, as in probably Studer, got to Marlette and told him to tone it down.
The town hall had the Cantonment facebook screacher who loves Doug Underhill carrying on about the 401a annuity and pointing out the Ag protections have been taken out of the LDC. At least the one wasn’t there with extreme anger issues for this one. In fact why wasnt Underhill there? He lives there now? One can live even at the Stateline and keep up with things. The meetings are all on video. The selling of OLF will, enable LOST funds to get these roads on a priority list. True, some of these were put on a priority list in 2015 and aren’t done yet. People don’t remember we just went through COVID and many people couldn’t get on the internet to do schooling and work from home. The pin on Barry’s lapel on the COW said it all. There are codes of conduct and respect that people seem to have forgotten about this day and time. Not Barry. William sensationalizes news from Century and favors Barry because he gave him the Century chamber $, which he did use for advertisements. He doesnt allow commemt on the blog pointing this out. But hey, bigger pen.. Mark Twain reference. We are concerned Kohler favors consolidation who wants to be elected to D2. William reports some news fairly but does have his bias and spin. Because of him some people don’t want to serve on Century council. Also Salzman said she was going to be there and wasn’t. Either way she does more than Hill ever did. The hinterlands are not as far and remote as you think.
