Warrington tax collector office opens today

Janet Holley, Escambia County Tax Collector, opens today the Warrington office at its new location, 4051 Barrancas Avenue, Suite A, in the Warrington Shopping Center. The previous location was closed after flooding in April 2014.

“We are excited to be returning to the Warrington community.” Holley stated.

The office has a staff of 13 operating the new 9,500 sq. ft. office. Holley expects it to process approximately 4,500 titles and tag registrations and 1,200 driver licenses monthly. In the past, this site was the second largest producer of the four tax collector offices. There will be plenty of free parking and a 24-hour drop box.

While driver license services are by appointment only, walk-in service is available for motor vehicle and vessel registrations and titles, hunting and fishing licenses, property taxes, and business tax receipts.

Holley reports, “This location will offer a new service in late December…processing concealed weapon license applications for the Department of Agriculture.”

Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. For information or to make an appointment, visit www.EscambiaTaxCollector.com or call 438‑6500 x3252.
