Was it murder?

This case has been the buzz on Navarre Beach for over a year. On Feb. 18, 2007, the body of Joshua Whittier, a 21-year-old Navarre resident who had worked with Ford Models, was found face down at the water’s edge of Santa Rosa Sound between Juana’s Pagoda and the Navarre Beach Bridge. The cause of death, as determined the medical examiner and corroborated by the Sheriff’s Office and state attorney’s office, was determined to be accidental drowning.

The mom has led a one-woman crusade to have the case reopened because she believes evidence was ignored that points to murder. She is convinced her son was murdered and she believes she knows who the murder is.
