Waterfront Mission Building Needs a Makeover

The Waterfront Mission is often putting others before its needs, but time and wear has taken a toll on the Fort Walton Beach mission’s roof and HVAC systems.

The Waterfront Mission is embarking on a spring fundraising campaign: “Extreme Makeover: The Mission Edition.” The first fundraising event will be the “Art for Change” dinner and silent auction. SunQuest Cruise’s Solaris, will be the venue for the event on Sunday, March 25 from 3:30 to 8 p.m.

The event will feature a floating art gallery, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, entertainment, door prizes and a silent auction full of creations from local artists, celebrity items, memorabilia and more.

Meet at the Baytowne Marina at 9300 Emerald Coast Pkwy., the dinner cruise sails at 5 p.m. Tickets are $100 and are available by calling 796-0700.
